Heron’s
Rest Farm is a 180 acre working
farm in the upper Shenandoah
Valley. The
farm borders Back Creek on
the east and lies in
the valley between North Mountain
and Sleepy Creek State Forest. Field
corn, wheat, and hay make up
the bulk of the property but
the pride and joy of the farm
is the two or so acres of cut
flowers the Gleasons raise
for local florists and farmer’s
markets.
